Experience
As a member of Guac Mag’s Design Team, I have not only been able to work on print design for bi-annual issue releases, but have also been able to work with graphic branding and design through membership with the organization.

For Guac Magazine’s Spring 2019 “Rich History” issue, I got my first experience with working with the team. In this semester, I learned how to use InDesign in order to create design guides and templates for print content. I also exercised typography, which involved formatting content into appropriately-sized columns, creating text hierarchy, and devising text-image compositions using article submissions from the Cornell community.

For the Fall 2020 “Senses” issue, due to a large designer staff, I was able to move from print design and focus on Guac Mag’s branding instead. Using digital illustration and social media, my partner Annabelle (attribution under image) and I leveraged its format to create a time-based composition, with new posts acting not only as a countdown for the issue’s launch, but also as a spelling-out of the word “SENSES” with each new photo.
